Popcorn Counting Play Dough Mats

Sometimes {usually!}, I make printables according to E’s interests, and sometimes, I just see some clipart and HAVE to use it! I created these play dough mats for the latter reason. When I saw the images, I knew just what I wanted to do with them – I hope you like the results!
These play dough mats cover numbers 1-10, and they each have
- an empty popcorn box with the number on it,
- instructions to place the appropriate number of {play dough} popcorn pieces into the box,
- a number outline to practice number formation,
- the number word,
- and the appropriate number of popcorn pieces.
Despite the name, you don’t actually have to use play dough. Kids could use markers to write the numbers and trace the number words, and use manipulatives as “popcorn”. You could even use real popcorn 🙂
