N is currently obsessed with counting and with picking out images for my printables. Whenever he sees me at my computer, he wants to sit in my lap and pick out images from my clip art folder. And of course I’m happy to make just the right printables for him!

He also still really likes my mini folding books, so all of his preferences came together in “his” latest creation: Ice Cream Counting Mini Folding Book!

Materials for Ice Cream Counting Mini Folding Book

• Free printable pdf file (below).
• Printer.
• Scissors.
• One sheet of paper.

 

What’s in the printable PDF file?

This is a one-page printable that makes an eight-page mini folding book with minimal cutting and no gluing or stapling.

Each page (except the title page) shows a boy holding an ice cream cone with a certain number of scoops of ice cream (between one and seven) and the appropriate numeral.

Print out the page, then watch the video below for how to assemble this type of mini folding book. Alternatively, I have written instructions here (but it’s really much easier once you’ve watched how to do it).
