Welcome to day 1 of the 7 Days of Easter Printables for Kids series!
Today, I’m sharing a printable that’s perfect for toddlers and preschoolers who are working on learning their colors: Rainbow Easter Egg Color Matching Game!

Materials for Rainbow Easter Egg Color Matching Game
- Printable file (below).
- Printer.
- Laminator, laminating pouches (optional).
- Paper cutter or scissors (optional).
- Two sheets of paper.
What’s in the printable PDF file?
The printable contains two pages. On one page, you’ll find six Easter eggs in rainbow colors. On the other page, you’ll find six baskets in matching colors.
Print the page(s) you want to use, then cut them apart at the thin black lines. I chose to cut out the eggs in an egg shape just to be a little different, but it’s not necessary.
You can use the images in different ways:
- Match two copies of each image. Either just the eggs or just the baskets or both eggs and baskets.
- Match the egg and basket of each color.
- Practice naming and/or recognizing colors.
- Put the eggs or baskets in rainbow color.
- Play a memory game with eggs only, baskets only or with eggs and baskets.

Do you have toddlers who love matching? I have a book of matching games for them!
In my book Match This! Matching Games for Toddlers, I share 30 different matching games that are perfect for toddlers with a limited number of matches (you can mix and match different sets for a greater challenge) and large cards that are easy to pick up and hold. I've included instructions for playing memory and matching games at all skill levels and how to extend the activity with other learning objectives for older kids.
