Day 1: Gingerbread Advent Calendar
Oh yay, it’s December 1 again, and I’m so so ready to start my new 24 Days of Christmas Printables for Toddlers series! Last year, I did 24 Days of Christmas Printables that was more geared towards preschoolers, so feel free to check that out if your kids are a little older/more advanced. {You can get the full version with almost three times the activities on 235 pages here.}
I loved doing last year’s series, even though it was honestly way more hectic than I would’ve liked, given that we were traveling overseas for half of the month. This year, we’re staying home, and I’ll be able to enjoy the Christmas season a lot more while sharing lots and lots of new posts with you! You should see my tentative publishing plan, there’s so much content I want to get to this season, I’m really excited to get started!
Today, I’m starting Day 1 of the 24 Days of Christmas Printables for Toddlers with a Gingerbread Advent Calendar!
{Day 2 is a Christmas Sweater Matching Game for Toddlers. Want an email whenever I publish a new post in the series? Go to the landing page and sign up for my daily alert!}

Last year, I made an Advent Calendar Coloring Page, but this time, I went for color.
The coloring page is a little too involved for my toddler, but my daughter still likes it at 6 years old – she went ahead and colored it (again) with her little friend yesterday 😉
Materials for Gingerbread Advent Calendar
- Pdf file (download below).
- Printer.
- One sheet of heavy paper.
- Laminator and laminating pouch.
- Marker, stickers or other items to mark the current day.
What’s in the Printable PDF File?
This is a one-page printable featuring numbers from 1 through 24 with a gingerbread pattern. I recommend you laminate the page to make sure it lasts until December 24.
I’m planning on using the advent calendar as a very basic introduction to numbers and, of course, a way to count down to Christmas every day. I want to mark the days with cotton balls for a nice wintery look – I’ll let you know what N thinks of the idea 😉 Other options are stickers or simply marking off the days with a marker or crayon.
