Dry Erase Board Game

I recently made up an after-school routine for 7-year-old E after I realized that a note from her teacher hadn’t made it to me for almost a week. While I was at it, I made up a simple routine for 3-year-old N as well – and he’s great at checking the list and hanging up his bag, putting his shoes away, etc. It didn’t take long to become clear that part of the attraction is getting to use a dry erase marker to cross off each item on the list.

That was my inspiration for this Dry Erase Board Game.

You can use it in different ways and don’t need the dry erase marker, but we focused on rolling a die, counting spaces, and crossing them off with the marker.

What’s in the printable PDF file?

The file includes a colorful board game with a start and finish space. It can be used for counting, color recognition, practicing taking turns, etc. If you don’t want to use a dry erase marker, you can use a pawn or manipulative(s) to mark the spaces.

For a board game with all of the rainbow colors, try THIS.

Print the page, laminate it, roll a die, then mark off the matching number of spaces. We used a 6-sided die, but 4-sided or 10-sided dice would work as well. The path is a bit short for dice with even more sides than that.
