Watery Footprints

This was a really simple impromptu outdoor activity while we were draining water from our coolers. E had lots of fun playing with her feet in plain water and made many many watery footprints.

Nothing but water and some feet - fun with watery footprints!

(E was 42 months old.)

You’ll need:

  • Standing water on or next to a firm surface that shows footprints well. {Coolers entirely optional 😉 }

 E stood in the water as it was rushing out of the cooler,

then started out by simply walking around to make footprints,

experimented with stomping her feet outside

and inside the puddle,

and jumped up and down.

Of course she wanted me to join in but I stuck to just making footprints

while she documented the occasion with my phone 😉

Something about the simplicity of this activity really appealed to her, and she still makes watery footprints every chance she gets 🙂
