Thanksgiving Cutting Practice Puzzles Printable
The Halloween Cutting Practice Puzzles I made last month were a great success with E, so now that Thanksgiving is coming up, I’ve followed up with a set of Thanksgiving Cutting Practice Puzzles!
I love that she can use the results of her practicing her scissor skills {which she loves regardless, even if she’s just making confetti 😉 } in a constructive, beneficial way that doesn’t make a mess, and she’s happy to be able to combine her love of cutting and puzzles.
I’m planning on making some puzzles for N soon that I’m going to let her cut – I know she’ll be so proud to make something for her little brother 🙂

Materials for Thanksgiving Cutting Practice Puzzles
- Printable pdf file (download below).
- Heavy paper.
- Printer.
- Laminator, laminating pouches (optional but useful if you want to be able to reuse the puzzles).
- Scissors or paper cutter.
What’s in the Printable PDF File?
The pdf includes 15 pages with 24 Thanksgiving puzzles total. There are 8 different images that come in 3 versions each: Pumpkin pie, turkey dinner, turkey, scarecrow, pilgrim boy, pilgrim girl, gourd, and red corn.
Each puzzle comes with either
- straight lines,
- curved lines or
- zigzag lines.
These puzzles are great for different skill levels: Beginners can start with the puzzles with straight lines, while kids with more advanced scissor skills can perfect the correct way to turn the paper while holding the scissors straight with the versions with zigzag lines.
