What’s in the Printable PDF File for Rainbow Pumpkin Color Matching Game?

There’s one page to print twice. It’s divided into six sections with a total of six pumpkins in rainbow colors. The different colors appear on the page in rainbow order.

Each card includes the appropriate color name in the matching color:

  • red;
  • orange;
  • yellow;
  • green;
  • blue;
  • purple.

Print the page twice and cut one or both copies apart at the black lines.

It’s easy to adjust the activity to play a fun and simple game at different difficulty levels all the way from

  • no matching and just looking at the cards and talking about them (with toddlers),
  • to matching individual cards and color recognition (with preschoolers)
  • and to working on rainbow order and color words while playing full matching games (with kindergarteners).

N isn’t quite up for playing with both copies cut up yet, so we usually play with one intact page of rainbow pumpkins and the other page cut into individual matching cards as shown in the images.
