Nutella Popsicles
E has only recently discovered the yumminess that is Nutella, and it features prominently in her breakfast choices.
She’s very creative when I ask her which ingredients she wants in the food and treats we prepare together and doesn’t worry about whether we’ve used them before or not. A recent request was “Nutella Popsicles!”
They were really easy to make, only used two ingredients, and tasted delicious!
(E was 4 years and 7 months old.)

E needed pretty much no help with this recipe.
She even measured out the milk herself and poured it into the blender. {I embraced the possibility of spills, and it went off without a hitch.}
She also placed the Nutella into the measuring cup and practiced some problem solving and critical thinking skills
but I’d definitely skip the measuring cup next time. It’s just messy getting the Nutella into AND out of it… Use about 2-3 heaping tablespoons instead!
E still loves pushing the button on the blender {even though she still occasionally says it hurts her ears…}
and recently, she’s started holding on to the handle while the blender is working 🙂
She did have some spillage when she poured the blended mixture into the popsicle molds
but simply wiped it up before moving on to the next step.
Lids on, and the Nutella popsicles were ready to go into the freezer for several hours. We left them until the next day, but they should be ready after about 4-6 hours.
E was super excited when she came home from school the next day and immediately went to the freezer to get two popsicles for a snack for her and me.
She wasn’t disappointed – they were sooooo good!
