New Year’s Party I Spy Game
It’s been a while since I shared an I Spy game for preschoolers and kindergarteners. {However, I did have two simplified toddler versions as part of my 24 Days of Christmas Printables for Toddlers: Christmas Tree I Spy Game for Toddlers and Winter Clothes I Spy for Toddlers.}
So today, I have a new one: New Year’s Party I Spy Game!

Materials for New Year’s Party I Spy Game
- Printable pdf file (download below).
- Printer.
- Laminator, laminating pouches (optional).
- Paper.
- Marker.
What’s in the printable PDF file?
This is a one-page, no-prep printable.
I used ten different New-Year’s related images: Girl in a colorful skirt, green firecracker, colorful firecracker, colorful noisemaker, girl throwing confetti, pointy New Year’s party hat, boy holding two balloons, New Year’s top hat, clock showing midnight, and girl holding three balloons.
Each image is shown between four and ten times. (There’s an answer key included in the file.)
Print the page, laminate it if you want to be able to reuse it, then simply provide a marker and let your kids count the items and mark the matching numbers at the bottom.
If needed, talk about strategies to make sure that each item is counted once and only once (1:1 correspondence), like starting in a corner and going left to right or right to left to check for images. Another option is to mark or cross out each image that you’ve already counted.
