⭐ What’s in the printable PDF file?

The file comes in three four versions. Each version includes 11 two-piece puzzles covering numbers 0-10 with the numeral on one piece and a matching donut box image on the other piece

  1. Color version: ready to print, cut out, and use.
  2. Editable color version: you can customize the font, font size, colors, type out the number words, and more! Make sure to press ctrl/cmd + E with an editable field selected to access all formatting options.
  3. Black-and-white version: great for saving ink or letting kids color their own donuts.
  4. Editable black-and-white version: you have the same options as with the editable color version. Please note that due to limitations in Adobe, font outlines can’t be used in the editable version. Therefore, the default numbers are black in this version, and you can change them to other solid colors.

⭐ How to prepare and use

Print on heavy cardstock for durability. If you want to reuse the puzzles with multiple children and/or in the classroom, consider laminating.

Cut out the pieces and mix them up for matching practice.

Here are some ways to use the puzzles:

  • Add them to a math center for independent work.
  • Use in small groups for targeted number practice.
  • Use as a homeschool option or at after-school activities.
  • Send them home as a fun homework activity to reinforce counting.
