Printable Differentiated Writing Prompts for Kids
When kids first start writing their own texts, the usual picture or one sentence writing prompts can be overwhelming. The printable Differentiated Writing Prompts for Kids you’ll find below have different levels of support for beginning writers in kindergarten or first grade.
Each set includes several different versions of the same writing prompt: Each page has a picture (in color or black and white) and either
- a word bank in a dashed and lined font with arrows and numbers;
- a word bank in a lined font;
- a word bank in a regular font;
- no word bank;
- or editable blanks that you can use if you want to supply your own words (this version isn’t available in all of the files; please read the descriptions in each post to be sure).
