Materials for Bunny Grid Game
- Printable file (below).
- Printer.
- Laminator, laminating pouch for the game board (optional).
- Paper cutter or scissors.
- Two sheets of paper.
- Glue, glue stick or sticky tape.
- 6-sided die (optional).
What’s in the printable PDF file?
The full VIP file includes a grid game board with brown and gray bunnies arranged in a 5×5 grid and four different printable dice templates.
The first template shows between one and six white bunnies on each side and works like a regular 6-sided die. It can be used to determine the number of bunnies to cover on each turn.
The second template shows only one bunny on each side, either a brown or a gray bunny. We used it to determine which bunny color to cover one at a time.
The third template shows between one and three bunnies on each side, either all gray bunnies or all brown bunnies.
The fourth template has between one and three bunnies on each side in mixed colors.
The third and fourth dice can be used to cover the grid a little more quickly than with the one that only has one bunny on each side but still add a bit more interest with the different colors.
Print out the game board and one or more dice templates. Assemble the die/dice by cutting around the outer solid black lines, then creasing at the dashed lines, and putting the die together with glue, a glue stick, or sticky tape. Alternatively, you can use a regular 6-sided die (or even a 4- or 10-sided die if available). Roll the die and cover bunnies on the game board depending on what side of the die comes up. Repeat until all bunnies are covered. This game can be played by a single player or two players, either competitively or cooperatively.
For a competitive game, you could print two copies of the board game OR use different manipulatives for each player on the same game board.
The free version of the file includes the same grid game board and one die template only – the one with one to six white bunnies on each side.
