Best of October 2016

Hello November! A great month is ahead that includes my daughter’s birthday {she’s turning 6 today!!!}, more fall activities, Thanksgiving, and our first glimpses of Christmas!

But before I get started with all of that, I want to take a look back at the Best of October 2016: My top 3 new posts of the month, my personal favorite, and a round-up of all new posts of the month to make sure you didn’t miss anything interesting! {And if you’d like to find out what I wrote about last year, here’s the Best of October 2015.}

Halloween was definitely a big focus this past month, and it was what my readers liked to read about most. Make sure to pin your Halloween favorites for next year, there’s still time to enjoy the fall and evergreen activities this year 🙂

The Best of October 2016: The Top 3 Most Popular New Posts

Halloween I Spy Game

Another I Spy game made it to the top of the most popular new posts of the past month!

30 Fun Halloween Printables for Preschoolers

This big list of Halloween printables features both fun educational and just plain fun printables that are perfect for preschoolers {and that my kindergartener loved, too}.

Halloween Sensory Bin

This was a really beautiful sensory bin that was great fun for both of my kids! They particularly enjoyed the mix of rice and beans – an idea that can easily be applied to other sensory bin themes.

My Favorite New Post of October 2016

My absolute favorite new post this month was this awesome (and simple!) Sight Word Pumpkin Patch Sensory Bin. It’s a great, simple, fun fall-themed way to practice sight words while also getting all of the benefits of sensory play. {Remember the fun rice and beans mix I mentioned above when talking about the Halloween Sensory Bin? I used it for this sensory bin, too.}
