Best of June 2016

June 2016 is over! It was a month of major transitions for us as we emptied our house in Texas, sent our furniture and all of our belongings on a ship to Germany, then spent three weeks at a friends’ house and two weeks on vacation before flying back to Germany to start the rest of our lives.

I didn’t get as much of a chance to work on the blog during this transition as usual, but I did write a few posts a week, and I want to show you all of them! Have you missed any?

I’ll make sure to tell you which new posts of June 2016 were the most popular with my readers, and which post was my personal favorite.

Check out my monthly round-up of all posts from the past month, including the top 3 most popular new posts and my personal favorite! This is the Best of June 2016 on Simple Fun for Kids!

Top 3 Most Popular New Posts in June 2016

Ocean Creatures Memory Game

I used to offer a different version of this memory game, but last month, I decided to redo it completely with all new clip art and extra matches. This is not only the most popular new post of June, it’s currently the third most popular post overall on my entire blog!

A is for Astronaut Handwriting Letter Mazes

I’m so happy that my new handwriting letter mazes are so popular! This was the second one I shared after F is for Flag Handwriting Letter Mazes. {There’s also a “regular” letter recognition version of the letter F one: F is for Flag Letter Mazes.} Given their popularity, I’ll be sure to be working on the rest of the alphabet ASAP 🙂

Basic Color Circles

I’m surprised at the popularity of super basic printables every time, although by now, I really shouldn’t be. Yes, it’s simple, but it’s very useful for anyone working on color recognition, color sorting, and color words. I use it as a color sorting mat with N, and he absolutely adores putting his rainbow bears on the circles.

My Favorite New Post of June 2016

Snail Race Graphing Game is my very favorite among all of the graphing games I’ve shared recently. That’s because E had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for extending this activity with handwriting, recording, and tally mark components 🙂 Go read the post to find out what she did!
