Materials for the -ab Family CVC Word Maze
- One sheet of paper.
- Printer.
- Laminator.
- Laminating pouches.
- Manipulatives, stickers, or markers to follow the path through the maze. For this one, E decided that she wanted to use washi tape to follow the maze. I tore off just enough little pieces of tape for her to cover all of the -ab words and stuck them to the edge of the cookie sheet she was working on. This gave an extra fine motor workout and added a self-correcting element.
What’s in the Printable PDF File?
This is a one-page, essentially no-prep printable. Unless you’re in a hurry, I’d still laminate just to make sure the maze is reusable.
The maze has a Karate theme and uses all of the -ab family words: cab, dab, gab, jap, lab, nab, and tab. Words from the other short a CVC word families make up the “walls” of the maze.
