A Toddler’s Shopping List

One of E’s favorite games that she initiates over and over right now is writing a “shopping list”.

She’ll grab a pen and a notepad, and ask me what I “need”. And I’d better answer, or she’ll repeat this question for a while 😉

It doesn’t really matter to her what I say or if I repeat myself, she’ll just “write it down”. Well, sometimes, she’ll look at me a little dubiously for a few seconds to find out if I’m serious 😉

She doesn’t even necessarily need a table to write on, she can do it standing up, too.

Very rarely, when she’s done writing MY shopping list, she’ll turn the paper over to me and tell me what SHE needs. {I’m fortunate that she really likes fruit and veggies, it’s not just for this game 😉 }

And when the page is full, she simply starts over on the next one.
