Valentine’s Day Writing Prompts for Kindergarteners

Huh, is it really already Valentine’s Day?! Yes yes, it is, no doubt about it! We did some Valentine’s crafts this year but also used the cute theme for learning activities.

Here’s a set of differentiated Valentine’s Day Writing Prompts for Kindergarteners that E worked on to finish off this Valentine’s season.

It’s set up similarly to many of my other Kindergarten writing prompts but also includes two editable pages where you can easily add your own words.

These are so cute! Differentiated printable Valentine's Day Writing Prompts for Kindergarteners with four different levels of support for beginning writers. No-prep, and the pdf file is editable so you can use your own words!

What’s in the printable PDF file?

The pdf file includes 10 pages of writing prompts in portrait orientation (note that most of my printables are in landscape orientation).

The images are the same on all pages (either in color or black and white) and there are five different levels of support for beginning writers. In addition to the image prompts, I’ve used three different fonts (a dashed font with arrows and numbers on pages 4 and 5, a lined font on pages 6 and 7, and a regular font with no lines on pages 8 and 9). In the fourth version, there are no words (pages 10 and 11). And if you don’t like the words I chose, you have two editable pages with 32 spaces each to use your own words (pages 12 and 13). You can edit these pages right in your free Acrobat Reader, no extra software required!
