New Year’s Activities for Kids

New Year’s is a bit of a tricky event/holiday for kids, and we’ve frankly never done anything with it before. Not only is the middle of the night a no-go for most kids, but even my 6-year-old still doesn’t really grasp the concept of a year, leave alone a new one. However, this year, we’ve started talking a bit more about it in different ways to make sure that she understands that there’s something “special” going on.

Here are the New Year’s Activities for Kids we’ve done so far, just simple stuff that mostly helped create interest and served as conversation starters. And we certainly had E at “party” 😉

Check out these New Year's Activities for Kids on Simple Fun for Kids! Printables, sensory activities, a survey, and more, perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and older kids, too.

My favorite New Year’s activity so far was talking about the Happy New Year Survey for Kids with E and having her fill it out herself (I helped her spell some tricky words).
