Halloween Writing Prompts for Beginners

5-year-old E enjoyed her Halloween Costumes Writing Prompts for Beginners so much that I’ve made several other versions to keep her writing as much as possible.

Here’s another Halloween-themed version: Halloween Writing Prompts for Beginners!

It’s set up the same as the Halloween costumes printable with four levels of support and a color and a black and white version of each.

Are your kids starting to write their own sentences? Start them off with these Halloween Writing Prompts for Beginners! Four versions with different levels of support for kindergarteners, all in color and black & white for added coloring fun.

What’s in the Printable PDF File?

The pdf file is made up of 11 pages that include instructions, terms of use, and eight pages of writing prompts. The writing prompt images (mummy, candy apple, cat, spiderweb, and spider) are all the same in each version, but there are four different levels of word prompts:

  1. Related words in a dashed font with lines, numbers, and directional arrows.
  2. Related words in a lined solid font.
  3. Related words in an unlined solid font.
  4. No related words.

If your kids like coloring, there’s a black and white version of each level of writing prompts in addition to the color version.
